The story of Caravell begins in the 1960's. It was the introduction of the first chest freezer to the market that propelled Caravell into the international spotlight. Sales soared and expansion quickly followed.
By 1973, Caravell expanded operations to include the production of upright refrigerators and freezers, which resulted in the inclusion of several subsidiary companies abroad and massive export worldwide. Caravell soon became a worldwide leading manufacturer of high quality freezing and cooling equipment for the professional ice-cream, soft drink and frozen food sector. Well known for high standards of quality, the product range of Caravell include only the best suitable components, are manufactured using the most advanced production equipment, and are inspected throughly for strict quality control, with testing at all stages during production. Today, Caravell Group has total yearly sales of over 100 million euro and 93% of its production is exported worldwide.
The Caravell name is inspired by the warship model of the same name - Caravelle - the same model of ship that Columbus captured the new world with.
